- 4 large bell peppers, halved and seeded
- 500g lean ground turkey
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation Steps
- 1Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Place pepper halves in a baking dish.
- 2In a pan, cook onion until softened, then add ground turkey and cook until browned.
- 3Stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- 4Spoon the mixture into each pepper half.
- 5Top with shredded mozzarella and bake for 25-30 minutes until peppers are tender and cheese is golden.
